Why Empathy?
My ability to code-switch is unparalleled (more so from a socio-cultural behavior perspective and less from an actual language one). I've always had to adapt how I behave and communicate based on the person I'm interacting with. Spend long enough with me and I might accidentally mimic you.
This means that I need to understand someone, see things from their perspective or more specifically empathize with them. My superpower. (Let's not talk about the many times I've cried after a serious venting session.)


What's brands got to do with it?
Brands are just like people. They have personalities and emit a certain vibe when communicating. Naturally, this means all brands are experiences and lifestyles that ideally have the potential to transcend beyond their product + category to become a mindset that people can rally behind. We just need to extract and match it with their respective tribes, posses, people or whatever suits your fancy.
